Family history: A shoebox with a photograph and boxes of genealogy
It happened one cool frosty morning while I was getting ready to leave to go to research at the Family History Library. The phone rang just as I was headed out the door. A client was on the other end of the line.
"Mr. Bangerter, I have been up almost all night!" she said. I just tore my closet apart looking for a shoe box. I just found it and it has the picture you asked me for of my great grandfather and great grandmother soon after their wedding in Hungary!" She also told me that her grandmother, while on her death bed, had her mother promise that none of her family would ever do genealogy, or they would amount to nothing in life.
The client told me that earlier in the night; she fell into a deep sleep. She kept hearing a familiar voice say, "Look for the shoe box — find the shoe box!" over and over again like a broken record.
